12 Things You Should Do in Ubud

They call it the cultural heart of Bali and I can assure you there's always a lot to do in Ubud. So much it could get a little bit overwhelming. But don't worry my friend. I have made this little list to help you out. Just make sure you fit these twelve things into your Ubud visit and I can guarantee they will help you make the most of your stay in this special town. You're very welcome.

One:

Get your hands on a fresh coconut. This is the best kind of hydration and you'll need to keep well hydrated in the Bali heat. Get sippin'.

Two:

Climb up above the roof tops and watch the sunset.

Three:

Eat ALOT of delicious vegan food. You're on holiday, no one is judging you. Make sure you check out my Ubud vegan food guide here.

Four:

Keep an eye out for all the little things around you. These faces could be watching you.

Five:

Visit the Monkey Forrest and fall in love with all the monkey babies.

Six:

Be like me and get the 'dragon bowl' at Earth Cafe whenever you get a chance.

Seven:

Be boring and visit the Tegalalang Rice Terrace like every other tourist in Ubud. It's still beautiful.

Eight:

Take a moment to admire the tropical beauty around you. Ubud isn't only concrete after all.

Nine:

Try an iced soy matcha latte. It get's even better if you ask them to blend the ice - suddenly you have matcha frappuchino (without the cream)!

Ten:

Not exactly in Ubud, but if you want to see more of the 'real' Bali get a driver to take you to the Jatiluwih Rice Terraces (takes an hour or so to get there) and get lost in the rice fields.

Eleven:

Start your days with yoga and fuel yourself up with Balinese pancakes afterwards.

Twelve:

Pamper yourself and make sure you get as many Balinese massages as possible. Maybe a manicure and pedicure as well?
