Spicy Turmeric Coconut Oats

Ever had a golden turmeric latte? Well, after having one last weekend I decided to try out this beautiful golden spice and the other flavours of this spicy drink in my oats.

Turmeric is quite an amazing addition to your diet - it's almost like a tiny super hero. This spice has been proven to prevent cancer and it's also a natural anti-inflammatory compound. just to mention a couple benefits of many.

Spicy Turmeric & Coconut Oats

vegan ● anti-inflammatory


1 cup oats

2 cups coconut milk

1 tsp turmeric

1 tsp ginger

3 tsp cinnamon

3 tsp coconut sugar

thimbe of fresh ginger

1 tsp vanilla extract

pinch of black pepper


  1. Add the oats, spices and coconut milk to a saucepan. Stir well.

  2. Bring to the boil and then reduce heat to low.

  3. Let cook until you end up with a creamy golden porridge.

Topping suggestions: berries, mango, banana, coconut yogurt, buckinis, shredded coconut, goji berries and chia seeds.
