Dreaming of Gili Air

I was lucky enough to join my very dear friends Mel and Hanna to Gili Air - a small paradise island located just outside of the island of Lombok.

There aren't many places left in this world like Gili Air. There isn't a single car on the whole island, something that isn't very common in these days. If you want to escape the crowds and go somewhere peaceful make sure you put Gili Air on your list of places to visit.

I would definitely say that Gili Air is one of my favourite places I've been to in Indonesia so far. I got to experience so many beautiful things with the girls on this island. For example we explored the underwater world when we went snorkeling for a day. I still can't believe we saw six turtles and all of them so close up (which reminded me how precious the ocean is and that we need to take care of it). The sunsets in Gili Air were also an experience in themselves. I believe sunsets are at their best when you're on an island surrounded by water.

Please read the Mel's and Hanna's blogposts if you wan't a more detailed story about our adventures on and around the island.

I don't think we need to repeat the story a third time, so instead I'll let my photos take you on a journey far away.
