Kiwilander Smoothie

I'm currently travelling in New Zealand which means there won't be much happening on the recipe side of my website. Anyhow I do try to take advantage of any proper kitchen I can find. I was lucky enough to stay with a friend during my week in Auckland and I did cook up a few things in her kitchen.

The only creation worth sharing is probably the green smoothie I whipped for lunch one day. I was inspired to create a smoothie that somehow represented New Zealand. I was thinking lots of green as the nature is so beautiful and vibrant here. I also wanted to add in some kiwi fruit as I'm in the country of kiwis. 


Kiwilander Smoothie

vegan ● rfsf ● gf

2 frozen bananas

0.5 medium avocado

2 small kiwi fruits

handful of spinach

1 tsp matcha powder

0.5 tsp cinnamon

coconut milk

  1. Throw everything into a blender.

  2. Add in coconut milk for preferred consistency. I like my smoothies quite thick so I didn't add too much.

  3. Blend the whole thing on high speed until green and smooth.

Pour into a glass and enjoy. x
