Chocolate Buckwheat Pancakes

It’s pancake time!

I make these chocolaty pancakes most weekends, so I’m happy to say that I think I've nailed the recipe. I think these pancakes would make the perfect breakfast during the Christmas holiday and I bet your whole family will love them. 

I'm also sharing the recipe for most delicious raspberry jam that goes so perfectly together with my chocolicious pancakes.

Chocolate buckwheat pancakes

vegan ● total time: 30 min ● serves: 2

1 ripe banana

1 cup buckwheat flour

1 tsp baking powder

1 heaped tbsp chia seeds

2 tbsp cacao

pinch of vanilla

1 cup oat milk (or other plant based milk)

  1. Add all of the ingredients into a blender.

  2. Blend on high speed until the pancake batter is smooth.

  3. Fry the pancakes in a non stick pan (no oil needed).

  4. Turn once the pancake starts to bubble. 

  5. Once all pancakes are done enjoy together with home made raspberry jam. Recipe below.


Raspberry jam


1 cup defrosted frozen raspberries

2 dates

1 tbsp chia seeds

dash of water

  1. Simply add all of the ingredients into a blender.

  2. Blend until smooth.

  3. Pour into a glass jar and store in fridge (or straight onto your pancakes).
