DIY: Orange & Vanilla Body Scrub
One of my go to skin care products is body scrub. I can not to without it. It helps me treat dry skin and give it a deep cleanse. Especially now that it's Winter our skin needs some extra love and attention.
Until now I've always used store bought body scrubs, but I've recently come to realise how easy it is to actually just make your own body scrub. Then I stumbled across the Malmö based store Organic Makers who sell organic products for homemade natural beauty products. I ordered home a couple of goodies from their web shop.
This post is by no means sponsored. I just want to support such an amazing business as Organic Makers and show you all how incredibly easy it is to make your own scrub. The best part? You know exactly what's in your product.
Oh, and home made body scrub makes the perfect Christmas gift.
The body scrub I'm going to share with you today smells of fresh oranges with a touch of vanilla. It's such a beautiful combination and I know you'll love it too.
I've added in almond oil because it's packed with E-vitamin and good oils that will make the skin soft. The other oil I've used is virgin coconut oil which is full of antioxidants and it also has natural disinfectant and antibacterial properties.
Organge & Vanilla Body Scrub
3 heaped tbsp virgin coconut oil
1 tbsp almond oil
2 drops orange essential oil
1 cup raw sugar
pinch of vanilla
Melt the coconut oil.
Add the rest of the ingredients into a bowl.
Pour over the liquid coconut oil.
Stir everything well.
Store the scrub in a 350 ml glass jar.
